The opening day of the ASP PRIME Nike 6.0 Lowers Pro saw several of surfings elite put on a show in playful one-to-three foot waves at the historic cobblestone pointbreak of Lower Trestles at San Onofre State Beach in San Clemente, Calif. The first 16 heats of Round 1 were completed today and the contest will continue through Saturday, May 7 before awarding $250,000 in cash and a custom $30,00014-karate gold railroad spike.
