DC has signed a multi-year deal as title sponsor of Street League Skateboarding's DC Pro Tour. click read more for the full press release.

After an amazing inaugural series in 2010, DC is proud to announce it is returning as the title sponsor of Street League Skateboarding?s? DC Pro Tour Fueled by Monster Energy. Look for the 2011 contest series to kick off May 7th in Seattle, WA before making three more stops across the United States this summer.

?The DC Pro Tour is the only place you?re going to see the best 24 skateboarders in the world competing,? said Anton Nistl, DC?s President. ?We really want to be invested in this type of event at the highest level. Skateboarding is DC?s past, present, and future. We?re excited to show our commitment to skateboarding and Rob?s vision through a multi-year partnership with the biggest and best series in skateboarding.?

Created by DC pro skateboarder Rob Dyrdek, Street League Skateboarding? is the only league of its kind exclusively for street skateboarders. This game-changing and influential street skateboarding competition is growing even bigger this year, expanding to a four-stop event that spans the United States. Competition dates and locations include - May 7- 8 at Key Arena in Seattle, WA; June 11- 12 at Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO; July 16- 17 at the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, AZ; and the championship on August 28 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. This yearfans will be able to attend two days of skateboarding events in each city, as the qualifiers will also be open to the public. The entire series will be broadcast nationwide live on ESPN and espn2.

The 2011 season will feature the 24best skateboarders in the world competing against each other on real plaza courses at four different event stops. Stakes will be higher this year, with the athletes going head-to-head for a groundbreaking $1.6 million prize purse. Fans can expect to see DC pro skateboarders competing amongst the world?s best. DC will be invading all of the venue cities and engaging with fans inside and outside of each venue.
