Dyrdek's Monster Tattoo: Is It Real?

Oh that Rob Dydek, always the jokester. He has a fan base as big as anyone in skateboarding, or reality television for that matter. And does he ever love to toy with them.

Not just them, but also the ones that love to hate him. He's a sellout they say, and what better way to sellout than to get the logo of one of your biggest sponsors tattooed across your entire back.

Monster Energy has been one of his biggest supporters for more than a minute now. From the Fantasy Factory to the Street League that big green "M" is always around.

And it appears that those are the two components of his latest internet prank. A perfectly pulled off hoax, which involves a tattoo artist, his back and the "M." He even has his sidekick, Drama, by his side, and his parents on the phone, all pleading for him not to do it.

"God gave you a beautiful body," his mom says.

Dyrdek may be all over the television. He may be in every convenient store in the land. He may sing R&B. But the one thing you have to remember is he is a respected skateboarder. He's been pro for as long as a lot of pros have been skateboarding.

Meaning a lot of industry heavyweights have his back, and remember, he runs a skateboarding contest series. To do that you need skateboarders, and the respect of skateboarding. One way to lose that respect is to get a giant tattoo of your biggest corporate sponsor across your back.

In the end this will more than likely be a prank, one that served it's purpose because I've mentioned Monster three times in this post, and the "M" is all over the video below.
