Danny Way. Not many names in skateboarding carry as much weight or respect, and for good reason.

The skateboarding industry's elite made their way to Hollywood last night for the 14th annual TransWorld Skateboarding Awards-- honoring the best of the best from 2011.

Red Bull's floating skatepark left without a permanent home
The 28-day, 1,705 mile adventure involving a skatepark floating down the Mississippi River known as Red Bull Mississippi Grind set sail on September 9th culminating with a three day celebration in New Orleans where the final ceremony was dedicated to Red Bull giving the skate structure to the city of New Orleans to help provide a skate park to the city.

Seppe Smits (BEL) takes the TTR Big Air Tour Trophy 2012 home, after coming in second at the 6Star TTR Billabong Air & Style in Innsbruck.'Winning the Big Air Tour Trophy was unexpected, I was very happily surprised.' commented Seppe Smits. Congratulations came immediately from 3 time TTR Tour winner Peetu, who won tonight with a clean and stylish Backside 1260 mute grab. Peetu is back after wrestling with injury, but is again landing all his tricks with his exceptional ease. He responded: 'It was a great night, and it felt really good being here. This was definitely one of the hardest competitions for me, with everyone stomping it.'By winning the first ever TTR Big Air World Tour title Seppe ensures his place in the history books. Red Bull's floating skatepark left without a permanent home
The 28-day, 1,705 mile adventure involving a skatepark floating down the Mississippi River known as Red Bull Mississippi Grind set sail on September 9th culminating with a three day celebration in New Orleans where the final ceremony was dedicated to Red Bull giving the skate structure to the city of New Orleans to help provide a skate park to the city.
